Character Sketches Senia Echoes
Alright... this bit’s kind of special to me. These sketches, they weren’t part of some big plan they just happened. I didn’t even know where I was fully going with the story yet, I just had these flashes in my head. Shapes, faces, fragments of something bigger. So I picked up a pencil and started sketching.
No fancy tools. No pressure. Just lines.
Elise Voss came first. Always does.
She’s the anchor. But not in the heroic way. I wanted her to look like someone who’s been carrying something she doesn’t fully understand. I don’t even think I nailed it at first her face changed a few times. But yeah… there’s something in her eyes. Still figuring her out, honestly.

Then there’s Else. Or... the Reflection.
Sketching her felt strange. It’s like... you’re looking at Elise, but she’s been rewritten. She stares back differently. Almost like she knows what you’re thinking before you do. I didn’t want to over-design her just let the weirdness bleed through the pencil. She’s not loud. She lingers.

Now Vastra… this one hit different.
This wasn’t just “cool villain design.” I felt her. Something darker, older. I didn’t want her to be another sci-fi cliché. She’s WGA registered now, but back then? She was just this cracked, silent thing in my head. I gave her that broken face for a reason it’s like she’s been through a million lifetimes. Her eyes? Not human. Not robot. Something else. Something worse.

Then there’s Ren Arata.
He’s not showy. But you’d want him in your corner.
I saw him as this worn-down captain not broken, but tired. The kind of tired that comes from making impossible calls and living with them. His scars weren’t drawn for effect. They mean something. He’s been holding Echo-1 together while falling apart a bit himself.

I also put together a quick behind-the-scenes video you can watch me sketch, mess up, get graphite all over my hand. It’s not polished. But it’s real.
And yeah, there’s more coming.
I’ve got new sketches on the way. Some darker. Some... I’m not even sure how to describe yet. I’ll drop them in Part 2 soon.

This isn’t just concept art. It’s where the world of Senia Echoes really started for me.
Thanks for checking it out.
